The items here are presented in no real order, its just a random selection of work that I have done. Some of these sites have been created not just by me, but instead along with my business partner at 3AM Productions or others, such as Somos Barrera which is a modification of the Hemingway Wordpress theme. But in general I have used my abilities to make aesthetically pleasing, standards compliant code.
The portfolio is not quite done. Some pictures need to be added to each portfolio item.

This is the second version of my design firm's website. It did pretty well at the CSS Reboot. Although I was hoping to make the first page, we made it right to the top of the second. It's got a whole dark theme going on and it uses the text itself to create visual section sof what goes where.
Aside from the design, there is alot going on in the backend that my business partner Jason has created. The portfolio is really some sort of XML document that can be turned into a feed or displayed on the page or a bunch of other stuff.

This is the first version of my design firm's website. It was made pretty quickly. My business partner Jason and I had just purchased the domain name and had business cards made and we wanted something on the site so people wouldn't see a blank page if they went there. So in one night I just design the site and came up with the content and Jason took my images and turned it into a site.

Somos Barrera was a site I made for my family based off the ever popular worpress theme Hemingway. I changed various visual features in the css and changed a lot of the back end so that it would function as a family site. Feel free to visit it to look around, but most features are only available to logged in family members, sorry.
This was definately my most ambitious project in terms of learning and using php along with a connection to a MySQL database.

This is the second version of my personal RenegadeLatino site. I wanted to incorporate both the American and Peruvian flags in the design while keeping it dark. I also wanted to incorporate my flickr images and some script.aculo.us effects in the navigation to make it more interactive.
It was also my first attempt at making a theme for a wordpress site. The code was not as pretty as it could have been but I learned enough to make it work.

I created this site as part of a project for a Latino/a Studies class I was taking. Along with four of my fellow students, I researched the websites of Latino Studies programs across the nation and interviewed various people involved in Latino/a Studies at tOSU. All the data was compiled and put on this site along with some conclusions.
