Lil Rob - Bring Out the Freak in You [sotw]
School has come into full swing this week and I’m still adjusting to the work. As such, I haven’t been able to post much but no doubt I’d get the song of the week up. Staying in the spirit of school, I once took a course in Linguistics, in order to fulfill my Latino/a Studies minor. In it we discussed various languages or dialects or whatever you want to call them, African American Vernacular English for example. One of the ones we discussed was Chicano English, which was used by much of the Mexican-American/Chicano population living in urban areas of the southwestern United States. Therefore I choose a Chicano rapper for this week’s pick.
